INTRODUCTION BY OUR CEO, OCTOBER 2025

September was a dynamic and rewarding month for FAC, marked by high engagement across our member events and strategic initiatives.
We kicked things off on the 1st with a member networking event at the Farnborough Historic Wind Tunnels. The response was so enthusiastic—with 20 members attending—that we ran two sessions to accommodate everyone, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect in a unique setting that reflects our region’s rich aerospace heritage.
Throughout the month, we continued our collaborative work with Hampshire County Council and the various borough councils across the region. Our aim remains clear: to ensure the aerospace and defence sectors have a strong, unified voice as discussions progress around the formation of a Mayoral entity and unitary councils in Greater Hampshire.
On 25th September, we hosted our Annual Conference at the Village Hotel in Farnborough, welcoming over 80 delegates and speakers. The day featured thought-provoking presentations from industry leaders on aviation growth, sustainability, inclusivity, accessibility, and supply chain resilience. It also offered valuable networking opportunities for members and stakeholders.
We were honoured to welcome Alex Baker MP for Aldershot and Farnborough as our keynote speaker. She spoke passionately about the region’s potential to become a national centre of excellence for aerospace and defence—and affirmed her commitment to supporting this ambition.
FAC continues to play an active role in shaping the South Central Regional Defence and Security Cluster (SCRDSC), and I’m pleased to share that I’ve recently been elected to its Steering Board. I look forward to updating you on this important initiative as it develops.
We’re also delighted to welcome a new member to the consortium: ENL Group Ltd. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to the team.
