26th Connecting Students and Business – Andover
Another full month for the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC), we attended the Southern Manufacturing exhibition and met a number of our members.
I also attended the launch meeting for the Aldershot and Farnborough Growth Partnership to develop a way to drive innovation, investment and economic growth in the Southeast. This was followed up by a one-to-one meeting with Alex Baker, MP for Aldershot and Farnborough to discuss ways that FAC can help with her strategy for the area
I continue to work with our members and stakeholders to develop the South Central Regional Defence and Security Cluster (SCRDSC), a cluster that covers Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight, run by industry to ease and encourage collaboration between supplier tiers, academia and the MoD.
We held an amazing Member Networking Event at Vision Engineering Ltd a leading-edge manufacturer of patented optical and digital stereo microscopes and non-contact measuring systems with over 35 members attending!
Finally on the 26th I was delighted to be part of a Hampshire Chamber of Commerce representing the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium. This was a dedicated networking session for students from Andover College UK, giving them the opportunity to connect directly with local businesses
I am pleased to announce that we have 4 new members:? Expromet Technologies Group Ltd, Middlesex Aerospace, Openshaw & co. and Valuechain (Arden Rede Ltd) , I’m sure you’ll join us in welcoming them to the team.
