Business Transformation through Digitalisation

Presented by FAC and the AGP

FAC as part of the AGP and Regional Aerospace Alliances Business Transformation through Digitalisation, will be at the FAC Offices in Farnborough. Digital transformation is revolutionizing aerospace manufacturing, bringing a range of benefits that enhance efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness.

Here are some key advantages:

  • Improved Operational Efficiency – Digital tools streamline production processes, reducing complexities and enhancing productivity.
  • Predictive Maintenance – Real-time data analysis and digital twins help minimize downtime and optimize maintenance schedules, leading to cost reductions.
  • Enhanced Safety & Quality – Advanced analytics allow manufacturers to proactively identify potential issues, ensuring high safety standards.
  • Optimized Supply Chains – Digitalisation enables seamless coordination between manufacturers and suppliers, improving agility and responsiveness.
  • Industry 4.0 Integration – Technologies like IoT, AI, and cloud computing help aerospace companies leverage data for better decision-making and market differentiation.

Aerospace giants like Airbus and Boeing are leading the charge in adopting digital technologies to stay competitive. Companies that successfully integrate digital technologies see measurable improvements in their financial performance through cost savings, efficiency gains, and revenue growth.

The Aerospace and Defence industry in the UK is experiencing unprecedented demand, now and for the foreseeable future. The rate ramp-up in civil aerospace and ongoing conflict is putting significant pressure on a global supply chain which is still recovering from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This roundtable event is focused on how UK Aerospace and Defence suppliers can increase productivity and capacity to become more resilient and rate-capable through implementation of digital technology. Industry experts from Siemens and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult will be on hand to present and take part in roundtable discussion on the benefits and challenges of digital adoption for manufacturing businesses.

This event is being led by the Aerospace Growth Partnership’s Manufacturing Supply Chain Working Group in partnership with Farnborough Aerospace Consortium.
