EQUAL SKIES CHARTER

EQUAL SKIES

The Equal Skies Charter is an industry driven initiative which aims to ensure that the aviation and aerospace industries offer equal employment opportunities to people with disabilities. Our reason for doing this is to ensure that these industries have the opportunity to benefit from the unique skills which are acquired by people with lived disability experience and to enhance access to this large customer base.

Also attached is our white paper which was released recently. The paper highlights the need for future flight to consider accessibility now to avoid the issues currently faced by traditional air travel and highlights the unique employment opportunities that the sector has to offer disabled people.

The paper is a 1st edition and will be relaunched in December/January after a roundtable with industry partners set to take place on the 12th of November. The roundtable will discuss how to translate the paper’s theory into practical first steps for businesses. This discussion will be captured and turned into an additional few pages which will be added to the paper.
