Smart Manufacture Press Release

We are delighted to announce that Smart Manufacture, has extended its portfolio of services for the manufacturing and distribution sectors.

We have signed a partnership with The RIC Group, based in Victoria, Australia and have been appointed as their UK Distributor for their TBO4 Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transport Management System (TMS) which has been implemented in just over 300 companies in multiple sectors across the AP and Americas regions.

The TBO4 cloud-based platform provides real-time visibility into inventory, orders and logistics and addresses the key challenge facing companies of how they can scale the business without expanding physical warehouse space or staff i.e. by helping them to increase throughput using the same space and the same workforce. This is achieved through:

  • Enabling smarter workflows
  • Automating repetitive tasks
  • Improved decision-making based on live operational data relating to inventory, orders and logistics.

The natural starting point is around support for picking and packing functionality which typically covers around 80% of the activity, but the platform also expands into other areas – including an inbuilt Transport Management System.

The key differentiators of the platform

  • Seamless Integration with several mainstream ERP systems including Sage Intacct, SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite and Acumatica – enabling companies to optimise their end-to-end supply chain.

  • The configurability to support a company’s existing workflows and processes.

  • Provision of comprehensive reporting capability including:
  • A visual warehouse reporting platform that offers a 3D representation of stock movement, bin usage and order flow.

With our focus on working with small to mid-sized manufacturing and distribution businesses and our specialism in ERP systems, WMS is a natural extension to the portfolio. We are really excited to be able to bring the TBO4 platform into the UK market and to demonstrate how we can help businesses to enhance the performance of their warehouse operations to increase their operational efficiency and to enable them to act with the agility they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving logistics landscape.
