Member Introduction by Alan Fisher, CEO

As a member of the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) we attended their annual Summit at Zaragoza in Spain where we networked with 45 European aerospace clusters, these diverse clusters unite with a shared goal of strengthening Europe’s position in the global aerospace market

Since we attended the launch of the South-Central Regional Defence and Security Cluster we can now confirm that I am now a member of the Steering Group and Andrew Barnett, Barnbrook Systems, one of our Board members is the chair. Together we will hold extensive discussions around support that will be provided to technology and engineering SMEs across a range of sectors.

I attended the Make UK Defence Summit where all the Regional Aerospace Alliance’s CEOs were on stage participating in two one-hour panel sessions entitled “Shared skies - Civil & Defence Aerospace Interplay” the sessions were chaired by Naomi Allen, Head of Research at the Royal Aeronautical Society. We discussed the existing and potential links between civil and defence aerospace and the potential barriers to entry in the respective sectors and how they might be overcome. We also stressed that the RAAs are well placed to act as a catalyst for greater mobility between the two sectors. The conference was attended by around 500 delegates and both panel sessions attracted a good audience.

. Who has been at the forefront of satellite technology for 40 years and its products are constantly in orbit around the earth.

We held another one of our Member Networking Events at Cre8tive Spaces Ltd, 23 of our members found out about how they work collaboratively with their clients and the hear the vision and journey their CEO, Stevette Potts has planned. It’s always rewarding to see professionals come together, exchange insights, and strengthen our community. Keep an eye out for our next networking event in the New Year at Vision Engineering
