Member Introduction by Alan Fisher, CEO

We continued to work with Hampshire County Council and the various borough Councils in our region to ensure there is an industry voice as they create a Mayoral entity and unitary councils in the greater Hampshire region

We held our first member golf day at Skylark Golf and Country Club; this was a free of charge event to give members a taster of what is on offer there.

FAC also attended a Space Defence workshop discussing how Hampshire and in particular the Farnborough region could engage with the newly form Space Defence cluster.

We also continue to work with stakeholders and industry on creating the South-Central Regional Defence and Security Cluster (SCRDSC) and I have recently been elected on to the Steering Board so will have a lot more to say on this important issue going forward. I have also been asked to stand as Chairman of this group which I am considering, more on this to follow.

Finally, we are also in discussion with various stakeholders from Portsmouth and Southampton Universities to identify and release possible Local Innovation Partnership Funds (LIPFs), watch this space.

I am pleased to announce that we have a new member: What Do I Do If Ltd (WDIDI), I’m sure you’ll join us in welcoming them to the team.
