EVENT - FAC MEMBERS' NETWORKING AT FAST MUSEUM

10th July 2025

The FAC Members Networking meeting will take place at the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum at 10.00 -12.00 on 10 July. Situated between the A325 Farnborough Road and the eastern airport boundary, access is from just beyond the Cody statue in RAE Road.

This event will give visitors who are new to the location, or who have not visited for some time, an opportunity to see many new displays and a general enhancement of the site which celebrates 120 years of continuous aviation development and flying activity at Farnborough. This includes the birthplace of military aviation from balloons and early flying machines and over a century of advanced aerospace innovation, evaluation and testing, from Cody to Concorde, and Black Arrow, all set in the original purpose-built headquarters of the Royal Flying Corps.

Tea and Coffee will be provided and a short overview given of recent progress at the museum, including the unseen work digitising and archiving hundreds of thousands of historic records, photographs and films. New large format touch-screen displays resulting from a recent HLF funding project can also feature. Close cooperation with industry, MOD, QinetiQ, and DSTL as well as the RAF Museum, continues to grow and improve the museum.

Visitors will be able to chat with each other in the usual FAC format with the added bonus of being able to view the museum as time allows.

There is free car parking within the museum site and additional free parking alongside the museum in RAE Road.

Further information can be seen on: www.airsciences.org.uk

If you wish to attend please contact rachel.abethell@fac.org.uk

There is no cost for FAC members, though donations are always welcome and the museum shop has a large selection of specialist books and gifts available.
